Enhancing Legacy Projects through Early Insight

Feed-Forward Transformer Inside

Walking In

Along the Legacy Project path, you’ll require the pivotal steps known as the Feed-Forward Transformer.

This phase revolves around the collaborative process of discussing the project with a Project Review Group, soliciting early feed-forward, and applying constructive edits.

This article explores the core actions of the Feed-Forward Transformer:

  • shedding light on the importance of early feed-forward
  • discussing the application of constructive edits
  • managing the iterative process of improvement
  • understanding the significance of early feed-forward

Definitions of 3 Terms

Feedback is a reactive process of providing data-information, reactions, or constructive criticism about a performance, action, or result. It involves sharing observations, assessments, or opinions to help individuals or entities understand their strengths and weaknesses, improve their performance, and achieve better outcomes in the future.

Feedback can be positive, highlighting what was done well, or constructive, pointing out areas for improvement. It is an essential element in personal and professional development, using instructive-coaching.

Feed-forward is a presence process of providing information- knowledge, guidance, or suggestions about future actions or behaviors before they occur. Unlike feedback, which reflects on past performance, feed-forward focuses on in-the-moment insights and recommendations to enhance future performance. It corrects potential challenges, offers solutions, and provides a forward-looking perspective to optimize outcomes as they are unfolding and enfolding.

Feed-forward is valuable in facilitative-mentoring, and planning processes, as it helps individuals or organizations make informed decisions and improvements along the way.

Feed-fromward is a proactive process of receiving ideas and insights from the anticipated or speculated future and incorporating them into present actions or decision-making. It involves gathering knowledge-wisdom or navigation pointers from potential future scenarios to inform and enhance current strategies, actions, or plans.

Feed-fromward is a forecast-thinking approach that aims to benefit from foresight, allowing individuals or organizations to adjust and optimize their present course based on anticipated developments or opportunities in the future.

All three are useful, while attending to this warning incorporated in these comparable figurative sayings:

Don't Throw the Baby Out with the Bathwater Meaning:
Do not discard something valuable while getting rid of something undesirable.
Or_ Discern and do not dismiss the good along with the bad.

Preserve the Wheat, Not Just the Chaff:
Meaning: Keep what is valuable while discarding the rest.

Retain the Diamond, Discard the Rough:
Meaning: Hold onto what is precious and discard the less valuable.

Save the Gem Amongst the Pebbles:
Meaning: Identify and keep the valuable element amid less important ones.

Along the journey as you weave your tapestry, paint your canvas, write in your journal
understanding StoryScope and Legacy are important concepts and practices.

A quick reminder of both follow:

Understanding the StoryScope

Our lives are stories waiting to be told, narratives that unfold with each passing day.

The metaphor of "StoryScope" invites us to view this narrative through different lenses. Just as telescopes reveal the vastness of the universe, microscopes uncover the intricacies of the microscopic world, stethoscopes listen to our vital sounds of living, our StoryScope allows us to explore and find the full spectrum of our daily existence.

Our daily lives resemble a kaleidoscope, with each decision, action, and interaction contributing to the ever-shifting, meaningful pattern.

As SoloAgers and seasoned professionals, you have a unique perspective on life's twists and turns. Your legacy is not only a reflection of your past-present but a blueprint for the future-present.

Legacy: The Useful Whats

Legacy is often associated with material wealth, but it extends far beyond possessions. Legacy comprises the "useful whats" we leave behind, including our time, effort, and money. These elements are the building blocks and seedbeds of our legacy, and how we allocate, plant them shapes the stories we share.

For Agers, especially SoloAgers (and Olders to Elders), who have accumulated a wealth-wellth of experiences and knowledge, legacy is about passing on wisdom and lessons. Your is about preserving your story as it is about empowering others to write their chapters more skillfully. As professionals and educators, your legacy resides in the work you shared, the values you instilled, and the innovations you sparked.
