Weaving the 10 WellthSprings of Life to Fully Express Your Literacy Legacy
Moving In
Your literacy and your legacy travel side by side. They shape every idea you share, every step you take, every experience you love to leverage (loverage).
For me, Literacy Legacy is about ethically expressing and demonstrating your values hierarchy. It is about being YOU for the world, with the planet, and your life. It is about how you loverage ten interactive spheres of life as you live your story.
Legacy and Literacy Legacy
Many people link literacy with reading, writing, and arithmetic. These skills form a base for how you express who you are becoming through your words and actions.
When you extend literacy into your life legacy and leadership legacy, you open a fuller way of living. You explore a new, robust way of life filled with freedom and fun as you live from your legacy, guided by your hierarchy of values.
Hierarchy of Values
Your values point to what has worth, truth, and usefulness in your life. There is a natural hierarchy in your values.
Every day, you assign your time, effort, and money to express your values as you live your significant life, create well-living workplaces, and co-create a well-living world. As you grow more conscious of your hierarchy of values, you grow more insightful in the ethical actions you take and the words you share.
Ten Interactive Spheres of Life
Your hierarchy of values draws from ten interactive spheres of life. You place your time, effort, and money in these spheres as a direct expression of what you value.
In alphabetical order:
- Ecological — nature and humanity
- Familial — family and close friends
- Financial — money and assets
- Mental — consciousness and thinking
- Philanthropy — giving and volunteering
- Physical — body, including sleep and diet
- Social — acquaintances and work colleagues
- Spiritual — higher-order beliefs and inspiration
- Vocational — career and vocation
- Wholism (Holism) — point of view and language
Others, like Dr. John Demartini, offer deep dives into life areas and assessments of values.
Hierarchy, Spheres, Values, and Life
From this list, two or three spheres tend to serve as primary indicators of your literacy legacy. You nurture these spheres as you live your life and leadership legacy.
The other spheres remain secondary and receive your attention as required. Whatever mix you use is your mix. It reflects what works for you and where you place your time, effort, and money.
In many ways, the more you live your legacy across all ten spheres, the more exciting your life becomes. The possibility exists.
Literacy Legacy is about ethically expressing and demonstrating your values hierarchy.
You and Your Literacy Legacy
Your chosen combination of spheres is uniquely yours, which calls for celebration. When you notice new possibilities and step into them, you also call for celebration as the explorer you are.
As you voice, author, master, and position from your primary spheres in ethical ways, you give yourself freedom, fulfillment, and fun. Your strengths lie within the interplay between your hierarchy of values and your spheres of life.
Your hierarchy of values unfolds your spheres of life. Your spheres of life inform your hierarchy of values. They act like two sides of the same coin. To have one is to have the other.
Leverage Your Strengths
With this awareness, you can invite others to journey with you. You help one another live your legacy stories together.
Strengths-based community concepts and practices support this shared journey in well-living workplaces and for a well-living world. Once you know your literacy strengths flowing from your hierarchy of values, you can share them as your literacy legacy.
The world, your workplaces, your communities call for more people who step into their literacy legacy stories. You serve as an example by sharing your strengths with those who bring complementary strengths.
Together, you tackle larger events and issues.
Moving Forward Together
As you lean into your literacy legacy, you stand at a threshold. On one side live your current habits, stories, and choices. On the other side, live the fresh ways you can bring your hierarchy of values and spheres of life into clearer expression.
Moving forward, you can:
_Clarify your top two or three spheres that feel most alive right now.
_Align one daily action with each primary sphere so your values become visible behaviour.
_Invite one person to explore their own spheres and values with you, so you can learn together.
_Capture one literacy legacy story each week in a journal, audio, or short video.
_Review your mix of spheres every season, then recalibrate your time, effort, and money.
Each small action becomes a thread in the fabric of your literacy legacy. Each shared story invites others to live their own legacy with more courage and clarity.
Questions for the ENL (Exploring Next Level)
You can use these questions to deepen reflection, guide a circle, or frame a next-level ENL conversation.
1] Which two or three spheres of life feel most central to my literacy legacy at this time, and how do I see them in my daily actions?
2] Where do my time, effort, and money flow each week, and what does that flow reveal about my real hierarchy of values?
3] Which sphere seems under-expressed even though I sense it matters to me, and what simple step can I take to give it more presence?
4]How do my literacy strengths support well-being practices by me and others, supporting well-living workplaces, and loveraging a well-living world, and who currently benefits most from them?
5] Who could I invite to join a shared literacy legacy journey so we can combine our strengths on a larger project or issue?
6] When I think of my future self looking back on this period in life, which literacy legacy stories do I want to be?
7] How do I want to document and share my literacy legacy so others can learn from, extend, and adapt what I offer?
If you would like, the next step is to tune the Moving Forward actions or the ENL questions to a specific audience, such as adults 60+ in a WELLth Movement Grove, or to a particular program page.
