How to Use a Piece of Paper and Pencil to Write a Group Story for Tree Stories 3319

by Stephen Hobbs in wellth movement  | 0 Comments

Tree Stories 3319 outlines a simple story development approach available to young and old - especially when writing in groups ...

We used it today - see the pic and video to below.

Today - at the suggestion of Bella - who turned 10 yesterday - three of us wrote a short story ...

/////

Bella picked up a large size recipe card and pencil ...

She said, "I'll start. I'm going to write no more than 2 sentences before I fold the paper over, and give it to you - with the pencil."

Smiling, she turned to the paper.  The pencil was careening over the card.

Folding the paper, she said, "The main character's name is Popsicle."

I nodded, and started writing. I added a long sentence ))smiles
I folded and passed it along.

The second person added her sentences before returning the card and pencil to Bella.

She wrote the ending.

Below: the folding process (video) + pics of the card with our writing.

Next, we each read our section of the story ...

Let me assure you Popsicle had a great adventure.
We added the name Popsicle as we read ...

Once upon a time there lived a kitty named Popsicle ...

Popsicle found three picnic tables with lots of egg potato salad and ice tea - oh yea! ...
Popsicle chased a grizzly bear. The bear turned around and stopped running. Popsicle jumped ...
... into a hole filled with candy.

~The End~

Okay - how did Bella know Popsicle would jump?
I think the trees were whispering ))smiles

From my head, heart, and hands ...

a simple say
you say

nay, I wrote

what say you
a simple story indeed
