This week's topic is "network" ... the previous topics were "cycles", "flow", "development", "dynamic balance", "nested systems"

Of importance to understanding "network" are the concepts and practices of living - laughing - listening - leading - loving in interconnectedness - living in interrelationships.
Trees live in interrelationships with each other and other species (e.g., forests) - with other plants (e.g., agroforestry) - water cycle (e.g., swamp, drought, flooding) ... and so on.
Just as tree stories interrelate with one another and with other elements of the earth ... the myth-based stories (a starting link))smiles

The sixth ecoliteracy tenet in the series of seven is "network" ...
Network - group of interconnected things ... sharing something
Think "net" and "work" - what comes to mind?
A network of people ... a network of computers ... a network of roads ... a network of trees communicating with one another ... and so -->
And Now, Personally
Consider you ----- you live in a web of life ...
In a network ...
If you were the hub ... and drew lines out from you to others (the links) ... you would be drawing a network of personal relationships
At the time of drawing this map - you could be considered the centre
However, by outcome - a network has no centre because all elements of the network play a role - share information - all making contributions
Grandparents and Networks
And so ... where and when might you encounter different illustrations of nature (and living life) highlighting networks with or without your involvement:
- bees and plants (each are nodes - and the adjoining line = link; therefore can share the story of the nodes and the links)
- streams, rivers, oceans
- predator and prey cycles
- family network
- computer/phone/laptop and Internet
- wildfires, air quality, health & wellness
- you - computer - Internet - your friend's computer - your friend

Like cycles and flow, look for ways to appreciate network (ecological network) in your life - at work - when volunteering - your health & wellness - when playing and recreating ...
Look for the "meaningful pattern recognition"
- When you see a pattern - you can recognize it - and give it meaning.
- When you seek to understand something (give it meaning) - can you discern a recognizable pattern?
- Where you see a pattern - what meaning do you assign it in case you see it again or want to replicate it?
