Mentoring Defined: Mentoring is a two-way trusted relationship where the mentor and mentee are both going to learn and grow on a personal and professional basis. The self-statements:

Self-esteem:
 Self-confidence
 Identity – Who am I and who do I want to be
 Feeling of belonging
 Feeling of competence

Self-Concept:
 One of the Action_Outcome statements for the Certificate of Competence – Mentor
 Is the way that you see yourself
 Is the way that you think about yourself in every area of your life

Self-Worth:
 The internal sense of being good enough and worthy of love and belonging from others

Self-Doubt:
 Occurs when we lack confidence or feel incapable of doing things we need to do

Self-Confidence:
 Is an attitude about your skills and abilities
 You accept and trust yourself and have a sense of control in your life
 You know your strengths and weaknesses well and have a positive view of yourself
 People with low self-confidence often have errors in their thinking
